Behind The Sweets

United States Air Force Air Traffic Controller turned Le Cordon Bleu grad, Angel Taylor, has loved to cook for as long as she could comprehend what it was.  Although she is a trained chef, she accredits her late grandmother for her culinary expertise!  Angel, wife and mother of 5 daughters, prides herself in working to instill culinary and other priceless abilities in her girls as well.  Food is a universal language, in her opinion.  Something that she has learned living all over the world.

Shortly after graduating culinary school, Angel discovered her love for baking and creativity in decorating cakes, cookies, and other desserts.  She found that it came naturally and "self-enrolled" in "YouTube University" (as she calls it) and other "how-to" videos to learn several relevant techniques. It is a firm belief of hers that you can never stop learning and that there is great importance in perfecting your craft, no matter what it may be.  As a scratch baker, Angel values quality ingredients above all else, and strives to be mindful of everything she puts in her desserts.

In her free time, Angel loves to help others.  She is a volunteer with Icing Smiles and also spends time volunteering/mentoring high school culinary students.  She is a Believer and will be debuting her non-profit organization, Identify Her, in December.  Brought about to teach adolescent girls and young women to find their identities in Christ instead of society's opinion, Identify Her provide's a safe place for these girls and women to find their purpose and walk in it.  Angel has gone through a lot of struggles in her life and had to fight to define herself outside of what life said she was and she is determined to help as many as she can address and overcome those issues as early as possible so to get everything out of life that is for them!

Thank you for taking the time out to get to know a bit about the woman behind the sweets! Angel's goal is to meet your Sweet Expectations. We look forward to working with you!
